I hope you are staying safe during these uncertain times.

A lot of people have been checking on me to see why I haven’t been emailing and posting content lately.

The simple answer is I have been swamped with projects and working on retooling my business.

Here is the problem: I have a waiting list of people who want to work with me, and the truth is we are maxed out.

A lot of past clients have returned because when the market is good you can get results with an average agency.

But when the market is down you need to bring out your A players.

I feel like Scotty in Star Trek when he tells Captain Kirk, “I’m giving her all she’s got, Captain!”

Two weeks ago I hired a new guy just to write and upload ads. By Friday he asked how many people was he replacing because the workload was insane.

I know that I’m truly blessed to be thriving while a large percentage of people are out of work.

This is also a testament to how effective marketing and sales are when you create a plan and follow it. I know this by looking at my own growth.

To be 100% honest, there are no guarantees in marketing. Even in my own business, I have to trust the process and pull the trigger.

Sometimes things work right off the bat. Most of the time they don’t.

Finding what works is a trial and error process.

We hedge our bets and follow best practices.

Most people don’t have the stomach for paid traffic because watching money head out the door with zero return can cause some sleepless nights.

You have to trust the process, find what works, and make adjustments.

But it’s like that with everything in life.

One of the things I’m doing in my own business is getting better with project management.

To put this into perspective, before I got into marketing I was a project manager. And the last project management training I went through was from Disney.

So I am pretty solid by most standards, but I’m always looking to improve.

One tool that I have been enjoying is ClickUp. It has really streamlined production. I’m calling it the swiss army knife of PM tools. It’s so good I’ve ditched Asana and a few other tools.

I really encourage you to check it out at ClickUp.com and see if it’s a good fit for your business.

By the way, I hope you have a great week.
